Dreams and Courage – something in Common

Do you have a quote you live your life by or think of often?

Dreams are important toward imaging doing something new or viewing or expressing our lives differently than what we may currently experience.  Dreaming of ideas alone does not make our ideas a reality.  There are many actions, efforts and situations that makes what we dream happen.  Courage appears to be one of many attributes that may be necessarily to make some dreams a reality.  Bringing dreams into being and expressing the courage to make it happen can be mutual activities.  These are some quotes that I feel are important about Dreams and Courage.

DREAMS

“It’s the possibility of having a dream come true that makes life interesting.” — Paulo Coelho

“All our dreams can come true, if we have the courage to pursue them.”— Walt Disney

“I never dreamed about success. I worked for it.” — Estée Lauder

“Everyone’s dream can come true if you just stick to it and work hard.” — Serena Williams

“Dreams do not come true just because you dream them. It’s hard work that makes things happen. It’s hard work that creates change.” — Shonda Rhimes

COURAGE

“Hope is that thing inside us that insists, despite all the evidence to the contrary, that something better awaits us if we have the courage to reach for it and to work for it and to fight for it.” — Barack Obama

“Courage is not the absence of fear but rather the assessment that something else is more important than fear.” — Franklin D. Roosevelt

“We can choose courage or we can choose comfort, but we can’t have both. Not at the same time.” — Brené Brown

“Once you face your fear, nothing is ever as hard as you think.” — Olivia Newton-John

“Courage is the most important of all the virtues because without courage, you can’t practice any other virtue consistently.” — Maya Angelou

  1. I love how you’ve paired quotes about dreams and courage. They really complement each other and highlight the importance of both in achieving our goals. The Brené Brown quote about choosing courage over comfort is something I think about often. It’s a powerful reminder to step out of our comfort zones.
