Who is really supporting us – Personal Power

A major perception that can boost our personal power can be that we believe that we have the support of friends and family when deciding on what we are going to pursue.

However, the perception that those close to us are not supporting our pursuits can work to block our personal power when we feel we do not have the support necessary to be successful.

Feeling that you are Supported

• This support structure can involve close family members including partners or spouses.
• Other support can be whether you have the support of close friends.

Feeling that you are Not Supported

Some examples of non-support can include informing and expressing your goals and hearts’ desires to your friends or family.

Some close to you may ignore your ideas or provide some negatives about an idea or goal that is quite important to you. These behaviors can take the wind out of your hope and enthusiasm for your own goals.

In your working environment do you feel that you are heard or acknowledged. Are your ideas appreciated or ignored.

Examples of Support

Even when you feel that others are not supportive, personally being empowered can feel that you have the confidence to pursue what you intend to accomplish for your success.

This includes having the knowledge or feeling of being equipped to discover the necessary information to accomplish goals regarding what success means to you.

What helps us to “Feel Empowered”

The goal of feeling personally empowered is when we possess the knowledge and ideas to reach and even succeed our goals when those who are close to us may not be there for us.

Feeling empowered can involve discerning that many in your life may not agree with or even understand your goals and what you are striving to accomplish.

Using Our Personal Power to Pursue and Realize Goals

• Even without others’ support we can support our beliefs in ourselves through our own thoughts and corresponding feelings and actions as we pursue our goals.

• It helps when we possess a healthy amount of confidence when working with goals.

The confidence of feeling empowered can include having the knowledge or feeling equipped to discover the necessary information to accomplish our goals.

Mentally, consistently and intentionally being aware of our perceptions while keeping our goals in mind regarding an idea, thing or situation we are applying energy toward experiencing in our lives can be very important.

Working to provide the mental and at times the physical space to provide more control and direction toward what we are perceiving as possibilities can make the most use of our personal power.
