As research has shown that another method we can lose constructive or positive perceptions of our personal power is when we are comparing our goals and successes to others.
Comparisons can occur between people we personally know or the people we follow or admire through social media and online platforms.
• In these instances being very clear of your goal or goals in very specific ways can help you to discover or maintain your personal power.
• It can be beneficial to research how others have become successful without trying to be just like another person.
We can remember that what we see of personal social media is really just a small portion of that person’s life – usually the positive or exciting portion.
We can observe others whom we admire to gain an understanding of how they have gotten to a certain place in their life. Copying what they have done to get to that place may not be the most productive use of your time and energy. Using your own specific tools like your intuition and learned experiences can be more realistic and beneficial for your individual life journey.
Working to be just like someone else does not allow us to retain and make good use of our own individual and distinct personal power.
Personal Power – It’s yours to use
It’s best not to compare. When we do, it’s easy to not feel as good about our achievements!
